Lesson 10: Into The World Students (12-19 Years)

Introduction

We have almost come to the end of the course. You have learned so much! Now you know that sexuality, sexual rights and sexual and reproductive health is a natural part of you.

You learned about:

  • self-esteem and self-awareness,
  • emotional and body changes,
  • experiencing sexual feelings,
  • relationships,
  • being sexually active or not and about
  • preventing unintended pregnancy, STIs and HIV and
  • how to plan a family when the time has come and the circumstances are right.

You know what sexual harassment and abuse are and how to prevent it, cope with it and escape it.

You also have learned that you and all your peers have the right to make your own choices and to decide for your own future, regardless if you are a boy or a girl, young or old, HIV-positive or HIV-negative or differ in your sexual orientation.

In this last lesson you are challenged to reflect on The World Starts With Me messages that are most important to you and how these messages have changed your life and can help you to define your future dreams and goals.

You are going to discover what future dream or goal you think you will be pursuing, what you have to do to realize it and think about the possible challenges you might be facing and how to overcome them. You also map the people around you that can help you realize your future dream or goal. On top of that you will learn how to educate your peers on your lessons learned in WSWM and how to advocate for an important message to bring to your community and thus: Into the world!
